My journey into the world of publishing and design started in 1999 when I joined an online journaling platform to share updates on local events in small-town Indiana. Faced with the limitations of the platform’s WYSIWYG editor, I started learning HTML to meticulously craft the layout of each post to meet my standards. This evolved into a deeper understanding of HTML and CSS, where I dedicated countless hours to hand-coding websites, honing my skills and acquiring invaluable troubleshooting expertise.

Moving to Santa Barbara in 2003, I attended UCSB and received a degree in Studio Art. After graduation, I assumed the role of Lead Web Designer and Project Manager at a prominent web design studio in Santa Barbara, where I served for over four years. This taught me major insights into the operational flow of a web design studio, giving me the confidence to transition to entrepreneurship and establish my own business. I now cater to clients with a focus on long-term, in-depth projects.

Beyond professional endeavors, I try to enjoy everything there is to do in Santa Barbara/the world!  I love going on photo shoots, traveling up the coast or out of the country, watching cricket, tasting our fantastic local wine, running, hiking, biking and sometimes even just relaxing at the beach.

My introduction to publishing & design began way back in 1999 when I joined an online journaling platform to update the world about goings-on in small town Indiana. Not satisfied with the layout options that their WYSIWYG editor provided, I started learning HTML to design each post to my liking.  From there I began creating entire sites with HTML and CSS and spent many days hand coding sites that should never have been hand coded! Sticking with that tedious method taught me everything I know today and supplied me with the highly necessary skill of troubleshooting.

I moved to Santa Barbara in 2003 and eventually started attending UCSB where I graduated with a degree in Studio Art in 2009. Upon graduating I accepted an offer to be the Lead Web Designer and Project Manager at a high volume web design studio in Santa Barbara where I worked for over 4 years. After learning all of the business aspects of running a web design studio, I resigned from my post so that I could focus on building my own business and now enjoy working with clients on more long-term, in-depth projects.

While not working on client projects, I try to enjoy everything there is to do in Santa Barbara/the world!  I love going on photo shoots, traveling up the coast or out of the country, watching cricket, tasting our fantastic local wine, running, hiking, biking and sometimes even just relaxing at the beach.
